  • 500g Monte Banato spiral pasta
  • 80g butter
  • 2 onions
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 400ml milk
  • 100g Edam cheese
  • 150g Edam, Cheddar and Parmesan mix
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon chopped garlic
  • 50g bacon
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 4 tablespoons panko

Step 1: Melt the butter in a large pan.
Step 2: Add the onion rings.
Step 3: After the onion has cooked, add the flour and mix.
Step 4: Now, add the milk, Edam cheese, salt, pepper and nutmeg.
Step 5: Boil the pasta as said on the package.
Step 6: Add the boiled pasta to the pan and mix.
Step 7: Add the mixture to an oven-safe dish and top with the Edam, Cheddar and Parmesan mix.
Step 8: Place the dish in the oven and cook for 30 minutes at 220 degrees Celsius.
Step 9: In the meantime, fry the bacon in a pan with butter, garlic and thyme.
Step 10: After the bacon has cooked, add panko and mix.
Step 11: When the pasta has cooked, top them with the bacon-panko mix.
Step 12: Serve on a plate and enjoy!
